The Technology
After extensive testing on various large and small format printers,
Seldin Editions has chosen the Epson Stylus Pro 9600 using Ultrachrome
pigments. These pigments are capable of faithfully reproducing
even the most subtle color tones or the boldests blacks. They
also have the advantage of being one of the most archival ink
sets currently available. Independent tests done by Wilhiem
Imaging Research, the leading testing lab for longivity of color
printing materials, predicts that the prints made with the Epson
Stylus Pro 9600 Ultrchrome pigment inks, framed with UV Plexiglass,
will last over 100 years before any noticeble fading occurs.

Epson Stylus Pro 9600
Seldin Editions has also reseached various substrates
to compliment the pigment inks used on all prints. The papers
used currently, are state-of-the art digital imported watercolor
papers from France and England. All papers are 100% cotton rag
and acid free. These special papers have an inkjet coating that
is engineered to give the highest resolution and color saturation
achievable with current digital printing technology.
